The lighting objects designed by Oboladze embody both technical mastery as well as light and shadow poetry. At their heart is a modular brass system, softened by glass bars and other translucent materials, that are arranged at varying angles to diffuse light and give the space extraordinary depth. The glass, primarily clear, but also available in shades of brown or pink—is hand shaped by artisan in fusing techinque, introducing delicate irregularities that bring warmth, tactility and uniqueness to each piece.
From the fittings and brass rings to the bulbs, every component is meticulously designed and crafted specifically for this collection. Each element fits together seamlessly, offering the freedom to create compositions tailored to the size and requirements of any space. The system allows for customization not only in scale, but also in the number of light sources or suspension points. Every lighting object is hand-assembled, a process that ensures complete control over its design, quality, and construction.
The modular approach enables the creation of site-specific installations—sculptural in form yet functional in performance. Through a carefully orchestrated interplay of light and shadow, these compositions enrich interiors with depth, texture, and distinctive atmosphere,
